Sustainable Shopping Tips

Here's a few Sustainable shopping just in time for Earth Day:

Shop Second-hand  -  Thrift stores, consignment shops,  eBay, and Poshmark are all places where you can find clothes, shoes and home goods that are already in existence. Shopping second hand creates demand which may some day may coax the fashion industry to make less and thereby lessen waste.

Invest in Quality Items - I understand that sometimes you just want to buy something new. Believe or not, that's O.K.

What's not O.K. is buying  clothes from inexpensive brands that rip, tear and wear easily. Instead spend at a little more money and buy quality items that will last you many seasons.

Don't throw away your unwanted clothes - As long they still in tact, donate them, give them to friends, sell them. Anything but sending them to the landfill.

Bring Your Own Bags!!! - With the pandemic, many stores aren't packing your reusable bags. But you can still pack it yourself.

Donate or sell in Your Boutique Bags - If you can't resist getting a store bag or forget to bring your own, many small vintage and thrift boutiques will use customers' old shopping bags to package purchases.

Also there are some people who buy and collect luxury shopping bags and other packaging.
