I'm been writing a lot on here about what it means to do good.
As I said in my last post, doing good is an important part of being a the hands and feet of God. But what if you don't know where to start?
Well I'm starting a month-long challenge called the #blessupchallenge to get you started. Below is a list of 31 things you can do to be a blessing to someone.
Here are the rules:
-You don't have to complete the list in order.
-You do have to complete at least one item a day for the next 31 days.
-Take a picture of one your good deeds' and post it to Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #blessupchallenge. It's not about showing off what a good person you are but rather encourage others to show love.
-At the end of the 31 days, pass this list on to someone else.
- -Host someone for dinner.
- -Comfort someone who's lost a loved one.
- -Volunteer in your community.
- -Pick up litter around your neighborhood.
- -Teach someone something your good at. (Basketball, gardening, etc.)
- -Forgive someone who wronged you a long time ago.
- -Do a kind deed for someone who has hurt you.
- -Get to know someone outside of your social circle.
- -Take someone out to lunch.
- -Give a person close to you honest feedback. (Don't forget to show him or her how to improve.)
- -Baby sit or pet sit for someone who needs a break.
- -Help someone with their housework, homework, or work work.
- -Let a friend or family member know how amazing they are.
- -Be a listening ear.
- -Call a person you haven't talked to a long time and ask how he or she is doing.
- -Give a surprise gift.
- -Visit someone who's sick.
- -Take a kid under your wing.
- -Pray with a stranger.
- -Tell a coworker their doing a great job.
- -Compliment a stranger.
- -Give out hand warmers on a cold day.
- -Give someone a bottle of water on a hot day.
- -Text someone to let them know you're thinking of them.
- -Council a person going through an issue similar to one in your past.
- -Send a care package to a person who lives in another state.
- -Surprise someone with a cooked meal. (Bonus points if you sit and eat with them.)
- -Write a kind note to someone who is down.
- -Make a list of all the people you know and pray for them.
- -Share a old photo with a friend, family member.
- -Inspire someone else to do something positive (Need some help? Try passing on this list!)
