The #BlessUp Challenge

I'm been writing a lot on here about what it means to do good.

As I said in my last post, doing good is an important part of being a the hands and feet of God. But what if you don't know where to start?

Well I'm starting a month-long challenge called the #blessupchallenge to get you started. Below is a list of 31 things you can do to be a blessing to someone.

Here are the rules:
-You don't have to complete the list in order.
-You do have to complete at least one item a day for the  next 31 days.
-Take a picture of one your good deeds' and post it to Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #blessupchallenge. It's not about showing off what a good person you are but rather encourage others to show love.
-At the end of the 31 days, pass this list on to someone else.



  1. -Host someone for dinner.
  2. -Comfort someone who's lost a loved one.
  3. -Volunteer in your community.
  4. -Pick up litter around your neighborhood.
  5. -Teach someone something your good at. (Basketball, gardening, etc.)
  6. -Forgive someone who wronged you a long time ago.
  7. -Do a kind deed for someone who has hurt you.
  8. -Get to know someone outside of your social circle. 
  9. -Take someone out to lunch.
  10. -Give a person close to you honest feedback. (Don't forget to show him or her how to improve.)
  11. -Baby sit or pet sit for someone who needs a break.
  12. -Help someone with their housework, homework, or work work.
  13. -Let a friend or family member know how amazing they are.
  14. -Be a listening ear.
  15. -Call a person you haven't talked to a long time and ask how he or she is doing.
  16. -Give a surprise gift. 
  17. -Visit someone who's sick.
  18. -Take a kid under your wing.
  19. -Pray with a stranger.
  20. -Tell a coworker their doing a great job.
  21. -Compliment a stranger.
  22. -Give out hand warmers on a cold day.
  23. -Give someone a bottle of water on a hot day.
  24. -Text someone to let them know you're thinking of them.
  25. -Council a person going through an issue similar to one in your past.
  26. -Send a care package to a person who lives in another state.
  27. -Surprise someone with a cooked meal. (Bonus points if you sit and eat with them.) 
  28. -Write a kind note to someone who is down.
  29. -Make a list of all the people you know and pray for them.
  30. -Share a old photo with a friend, family member.
  31. -Inspire someone else to do something positive (Need some help? Try passing on this list!)
