“How great is the blessing which the soul obtains by trusting in God and by waiting patiently.”
This is the word of George Mueller — a man whose faith led him to open an orphanage with no money at all.
How did he do it?
He prayed and relied on God to provide everything from money for food and supplies to staff and furniture.
It sounds crazy to gamble like that when kids’ well-beings are at stake— especially when you consider there many times —he wrote in his memoir “Answers to Prayer”— that money and supplies were often scarce.
But time and time again money and provisions were supplied through strangers, through donations, and ultimately the hand of God.
What an encouragement as we all go through our seasons of waiting.
